It was going through that process of being a songwriter first and gaining that experience that made me want share of music of my own.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What differs you and your sound from other upcoming artists in the music industry?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I think I stand out because I\u2019ve created my own, unique sound by blending elements from the songs I grew up listening to with the artists I love today. My family\u2019s Mexican roots and growing up in Texas is a big part of my identity, it\u2019s who I am and where I came from, so my music is all about blending my past and my future. I listened to a lot of Latin music growing up like Shakira, but I also love hip hop and rap.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Your latest release <a href=\"https:\/\/lourdiz.lnk.to\/GroundControlPR\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u2018Ground Control\u2019 feat. Jon Z<\/a> is out now. Can you please describe the creative process and explain the meaning behind the single?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The song is about being balanced and keeping myself grounded as a person. I love Jon Z and when I got in the studio with him, I knew this would be the perfect song for us to do together, he always brings the vibes!<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Nn8e0irQkfI\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>Everyone experiences good days and bad days, as a musician, when you have a bad day, what motivates you to keep moving and look ahead to the future?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Music helps me in getting the emotions out. Whatever I\u2019m going through, I\u2019ll bring it to the studio and create something from it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>In your own opinion, what is the most meaningful song you wrote? What makes you say that one?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/track\/5yqxeoIvngFdi0hdjHov2O\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">&#8216;Suicide Down&#8217;<\/a> was a crazy one \u2013 I used to listen to Lil Gotit all the time and having him feature on the record was super dope. That song is all about where I\u2019m going from here and it was sick having Gotit involved.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Throughout your musical career, have you experienced any \u2018wow\u2019 moments? Those moments that you stop to reflect and can\u2019t believe you are where you are?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Working with Metro Boomin &#8211; that was a crazy time &#8211; he\u2019s such an amazing producer. How can you utilize them?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s all about perspective.
