It’s just such an amazing way to express feelings, release them and tell your story. I love connecting with people through songs, through story telling.

What differs you and your sound from other upcoming artists in the music industry?

Personally, I think that I tell my own story and each story is different, however we all feel and heal the same way. With the music sound, I try and work towards a song sounding as much as the feeling I was experiencing when I wrote it. When working on a bigger project, for example and EP, the cover art, the title, the songs together, they will all tell the same story, just from a different perspective.

Your new EP ‘Promises’ is out now! Can you please describe the creative process and explain the inspiration behind the EP?

I loved working on this EP as it’s my second one and I got to get to know myself better in a musical way. There are storied of heartbreak, disappointment, healing and in the end, finding myself.

I worked on most of these songs with a producer called Paddy Hunt, which I would book in sessions for in London. The other song, called ‘No Promises No Pain’ I worked on with Takooree which I worked completely remotely on.

For me the process of recording a song is as good as the writing part of it. You discover new sounds and see your story turn into art. I always write the songs alone and then take them to the studio for production.

In your own opinion, what is the most meaningful song from the EP? What makes you say that one?

I would say Sad Girls Make Bad Boys Cry, as it is a sad happy ballad anthem which allows you to be sad and vulnerable but at the same time be powerful. That song makes me want to drive around with my windows down kinda feeling.

Everyone experiences good days and bad days, as a musician, when you have a bad day, what motivates you to keep moving and look ahead to the future?

I think that there is no time to focus on the bad emotions, but instead I should keep doing my best because it’s the only way I would give myself a chance of doing the thing I love the most, which is music.

And after that, maybe write a song and get on with my day [Laughs].

Throughout your musical career, have you experienced any ‘wow’ moments? Those moments that you stop to reflect and can’t believe you are where you are?

My song, ‘Sad Girls Make Bad Boys Cry’ made it on the New Pop playlist on Spotify which was insane for me!!!

I was sooo happy, it gave me the push I needed to think this is all worth doing.

What personal advice would you give to someone wanting to pursue this career?

I would say just be you, ignore the haters and small minds around you.
