Forever finding new ways to make music his own, London\u2019s personalised sound nestles somewhere amongst spiritual soul, electronica and experimental music, with lyrics exploring death, religion and Afrocentric themes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What inspired you to begin a career in music?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I began singing in church choir and I can\u2019t remember a time when I\u2019ve not sung. I love expressing and creating. In 2013 a journey began and I\u2019m forever grateful.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What differs you and your sound from other upcoming artists in the music industry?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Not sure, what do you think?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Your latest release \u2018III META\u2019 is out now. Can you please describe the creative process and explain the meaning behind the EP?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I worked very closely on this project with Bon. The idea was to tell my story, a story of rebirth and discovery.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/embed\/album\/7DhQffpF6yOM91fFM7fQ83\" width=\"300\" height=\"380\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>Everyone experiences good days and bad days, as a musician, when you have a bad day, what motivates you to keep moving and look ahead to the future?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Funnily enough silence helps. When it\u2019s getting a lot, I find a peaceful, quiet place to escape to &#8211; usually in my head.<\/p>\n<p><strong>In your own opinion, what is the most meaningful song you wrote? What makes you say that one?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All of them.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Throughout your musical career, have you experienced any \u2018wow\u2019 moments? Those moments that you stop to reflect and can\u2019t believe you are where you are?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Playing last year at Brooklyn Afropunk seems so surreal, especially after the year we\u2019re having.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What personal advice would you give to someone wanting to pursue this career?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Talk to as many artists as you can. Learn from their successes and failures. I\u2019ll probably always sing\/wear hats.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Did you learn any new skills during lockdown?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>My gardening skills have been flexing, it\u2019s not really a new skill though &#8211; just had more time to get into it all.
