I looked at what was going on around me and said there has got to be more. I thought like if I didn\u2019t find a legal hustle I would end up dead or in jail. I didn\u2019t really see much lucrative options for myself due to lack of education qualifications and experience but I was always passionate about music and I told myself if I\u2019m going to get out the streets I\u2019ve got to do something that I love or I won\u2019t stick at it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What differs you and your sound from other rap artists in the music industry?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I would say my ability to jump between both worlds, the US and the UK. I basically grew up in both, I don\u2019t think there\u2019s another UK artist like that. My journey and experiences also differs me. I got to learn the side of this industry most artists don\u2019t discover until they\u2019ve made it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Your latest release <a href=\"https:\/\/ditto.fm\/broken-promises-park-hill\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u2018Broken Promises\u2019<\/a> is out now! Can you please describe the creative process and the concept\/inspiration behind the visuals and the track?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Broken Promises is actually a true story. I want my listeners to be able to relate and reflect to my music, I try to tap in to all aspects of my life not just the street shit &amp; the W\u2019s. Those moments that you stop to reflect and can\u2019t believe you are where you are?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Yeah I\u2019ve had a lot! Durk pulling up to \u2018Let It Rain\u2019 video shoot, or when I went on tour with Huncho, Performing for all of them people and them knowing the lyrics, it was a different feeling.<\/p>\n<p><strong>You have some notable production credits in your portfolio including Lil Durk\u2019s \u2018Love You Too\u2019 ft. Kehlani. Are there anymore special collaborations coming up anytime soon?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I can\u2019t give away any secrets just yet!<\/p>\n<p><strong>With your producer hat on how do you approach the sensitive task of discussing changes and rearrangements with artists?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I often respect the artist ear because when it\u2019s all said and done its the artist that has to be comfortable performing the song on stage. If they ask my opinion though I\u2019ll definitely give it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What personal advice would you give to someone wanting to pursue this career?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Start today! if you\u2019re reading this you\u2019re probably on a computer download some software and start creating. Get your 10,000 hours in and build with up-and-coming artist who are serious and invested. By build I mean find the artist you believe in and create. Don\u2019t worry about money if your dedicated, money is going to come. It\u2019s done it\u2019s ready but I can\u2019t give too many details it\u2019s a surprise!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Did you learn any new skills during lockdown?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Most definitely, I love the new school every single day so lock down probably has given me more time to hone my skills.
