What inspired you to begin a career in music?<\/strong><\/p>\n

A weird series of events including getting Lymes Disease, moving to the Middle East, a BTS song writing cut and drama school rejections.<\/p>\n

What differs you and your sound from other rising singer-songwriters in the music industry?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I\u2019m OBSESSED with nostalgia and things that sound \u2018fresh\u2019 but also kind of timeless and like they could had existed 40 years ago. Finding my sound has been a PROCESS (and it\u2019s still happening) but I think I\u2019m onto something!! I want to create this new genre called \u2018UK COUNTRY\u2019. It\u2019s not REALLY country music, but more a mixture of indie pop, rock and soul with \u2018smatterings\u2019 of country.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m from a weird little village called Cheddar (in Somerset, where the cheese is from) and I think this kinda upbringing has embedded itself in my song writing and storytelling. I\u2019m in my early 20\u2019s and a lot of my friends are getting married, having babies, settling down and I\u2019m running around a big city trying to \u2018make it\u2019. I\u2019ve written a lot of songs about this and can\u2019t wait to start releasing them. HONEYMOON is just a taster of my unique sonic pallet that I\u2019m exploring- the real exciting stuff is yet to come :O<\/p>\n

Your debut single \u2018Honeymoon\u2019 is out now. Please describe the creative process and inspiration behind the release?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I wrote HONEYMOON in a cottage in Wales with my boyfriend Benjy last spring. The song is all about that \u2018honeymoon\u2019 phase in a relationship where you\u2019re doing all these lush things together (breakfast in bed, buying flowers, shower sex) BUT you don\u2019t want to put a label on it.<\/p>\n

Just like spring, the \u2018honeymoon\u2019 phase doesn\u2019t last long but is intensely hopeful, beautiful and a time which people look back on with great nostalgia. Blend all these emotions together, along with my musical influences of Fleetwood Mac and BENEE, and I present to you my first musical baby, HONEYMOON.<\/p>\n
