Since the release of her debut EP ‘How is your soul?’<\/a>, the Norwegian-Filipino star, HILLARI, has collaborated with producers and songwriters from all over the world. Now she is ready for a new start with the new song ‘New Beginnings\u2019<\/a>.<\/p>\n After kickstarting the year with a mini-tour with Masego and two Norwegian Grammy nominations, HILLARI is ready for a new start with the song ‘New Beginnings’ – a personal song based on her own reflections and experiences around the transition from student life to a hectic life as an artist. The song is the first taste from her upcoming EP of the same name \u00abNew Beginnings\u00bb, which will be released later this year.<\/p>\n ‘New Beginnings’ was written during HILLARI’s first writing trip to the USA. After two weeks of meetings and double sessions in the studio where she had worked intensively on writing and making new songs, HILLARI was at the breaking point.<\/p>\n Photo credit: @last_abdi<\/p><\/div>\n HILLARI’s journey in the music industry took off at full speed in 2023 with the release of her debut single ‘Desperate Soul,’ and her debut EP ‘How is your soul?’. Since the release of ‘How is your soul?’, HILLARI has collaborated with producers and songwriters from all over the world, been praised by star producer Timberland, topped charts in the Philippines, been highlighted on Billboard US and Complex Philippines as ‘one to watch’ and has performed both domestically and internationally. She was also nominated for this year\u2019s Spellemann \u2013 Norwegian Grammys \u2013 in the categories ‘RnB\/Soul’ and ‘Breakthrough artist of the Year\u2019.<\/p>\n ‘New Beginnings is produced and written with two young veterans who have both won several Grammys; Producer Yakob, known for among other SZA’s ‘SOS’, and Ari Pensmith who has written among others ‘Renaissance’ for Beyonce and Tyla’s hit song ‘Water’.<\/p>\n“I have always been concerned about taking care of others and have neglected myself. Towards the end of high school, I realized that I had to change my priorities. The day I wrote New Beginnings was a wake-up call for me. I had to confront myself and my own self-destructiveness. I had to start over, reconsider my prioritizes and take care of my own health. It really felt likt a new beginning” – <\/em>HILLARI.<\/h2>\n
