Swedish-born, London-based singer, producer and storyteller Ida Carolina captures that exact feeling in her latest single, ‘I Don’t Wanna Know’.

Marking her second official release, the track floats between contemporary R&B and ambient pop, wrapped in soft harmonies and cloudlike production. With clear nods to artists like Ariana Grande, Alina Baraz, and Savannah Cristina, it’s a dreamy yet emotionally raw exploration of modern relationships — specifically the grey area of ‘situationships’ and the confusion, ache and clarity they leave in their wake.

“It’s about longing and honesty, but also learning to listen to yourself,” Ida shares. “There’s so much unsaid in these in-between spaces we find ourselves in, especially in the dating culture now. This song helped me process my own version of that.”

Written and performed by Ida Carolina and co-produced with Lou Zerker, ‘I Don’t Wanna Know’ is tender yet sharp, emotionally charged yet sonically soft. Her vocals are almost weightless — layered like whispers, yet filled with intent. It’s the kind of track that creeps into your chest and stays there long after it ends.

Born and raised in Sweden, Ida Carolina has always found solace in music. With no musical background in her family, she carved out her own path from an early age, inspired by the boundary-pushing sounds of Rihanna and Avril Lavigne. Over time, her sound evolved into something more atmospheric and spiritual, drawing from orchestral textures, airy ad-libs and nature-rooted imagery. She describes her work as “dreamy, introspective and healing” — and you can hear that intention in every element, from the melodies to her visual world of soft lighting and vintage tones.

Since debuting this year, Ida has released two singles — with more on the horizon in 2025 as part of a larger project. Outside of music, her voice and vision recently made their way into the world of film, lending her songwriting and vocal production to the short film POLAR, which has already earned festival nominations from the Sunrise Film Festival and SQUIFF, a BAFTA-qualifying event.

But it’s in her solo music where Ida’s message resonates most clearly. Whether reflecting on love, healing, or self-worth, her songs feel like quiet conversations — honest, unafraid, and soft without losing strength.

‘I Don’t Wanna Know’, Ida Carolina doesn’t just deliver a beautiful track — she offers a mirror, a moment, and a message to anyone still figuring it all out.

‘I Don’t Wanna Know’ is available now via Apple Music and all major platforms.

Connect with Ida Carolina

Instagram | TikTok | YouTube

There’s something about a late-night thought you can’t shake, a message you don’t send, or a question you avoid asking — because deep down, you already know the answer.
